A PhD scientist by training, Jasmine has more than 18 years of patent law practice experience covering a wide range of technologies, including biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, medical devices, semiconductor processing, biomedical life sciences, clean energy, solar cells, memory devices, mechanical structures, business methods, hardware and processes, methods of use, and various nanotechnologies.  Jasmine is adept at efficiently describing innovations inventions. She is engaging, organized, and motivated, and she thrives on handling inventive technologies.  Her legal experience includes working in a patent specialty law firm in Palo Alto, California, involving client counseling for business start-ups, complex patent portfolio management for large companies, patent strategy for new drug leads and development pipelines, budgeting and prioritizing technology innovations, IP due diligence support, non-infringement and invalidity opinion practice, M&A, pre-litigation investigation, and related patent issues in NDA, ANDA, and IND for new drug applications submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).


Jasmine is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and admitted to practice law in California. Jasmine is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). She earned a J.D. from the University of San Francisco Law School and obtained a special Certificate (with Honors) in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. Jasmine has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Cornell University and a B.S. in Plant Pathology and Entomology from National Taiwan University. She was a judicial extern at San Mateo County Superior Court.  Jasmine was a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Immunology and Transplantation Biology, Department of Pediatrics, Stanford University Medical Center where she was awarded an American Society of Transplant Physicians-SangStat Fellowship.
